Spring Has Sprung

Spring has sprung. Or sprang. Or maybe springled? Anyway, while it may not feel like it, the warmer weather is on its way. And after a winter like the one we just had, I think we’ve earned a little sunshine.

But we’re not the only creatures that come alive in the Spring. Any day now, the ants will start stirring. Carpenter ants are BC’s biggest ant species, and they are often one of the first species of ant to get going in the spring. They are most active at night, but you may start to see these big black ants in the daytime too.

Carpenter ants make their nests in wood, including the wood your house is made of, so this is one pest you do NOT want to have to deal with in your home. If you’ve started to notice increasing numbers of ants around, or especially inside, your home, give the experts at Cleanstart BC a call today!
